Fido Friendly Locations in SWFL!

Fido can enjoy the great SWFL weather too! From shops to restaurants and parks there are many dog friendly locations in Southwest Florida. Here are some of our faves!

RESTAURANTS

Located in the heart of Downtown Fort Myers Bullig Coffee & Bites is a dog-friendly restaurant offering coffee, smoothies and they’re famous waffle sandwiches. They have a great outdoor seating space for Fido to join you for a “bite”. Pups are greeted with homemade peanut butter and bananas! To view their menu and operating hours click here.

The Standard is another great option in Downtown Fort Myers where you can bring “mans best friend”. Best known for their Drag Brunches and Bingo, this restaurant also has some outdoor tables where your pup is welcomed! Besides, all of their dishes from scratch, and features classics like pizza, salads, and pasta, the snapper quinoa bowl, or the maple fried chicken. Make sure to pair your meal with something from the beer and wine list, or go for one of the handcrafted cocktails.

PARKS

The most well-known AND loved pooch park is Bonita Dog Beach. This sandy beach & dog run with shallow water offers the best off-leash environment for your dog to run free and have the time of their life! This dog beach offers free parking, restrooms as well as canine showers, so you can easily wash your pooch off before going back home.

Another awesome dog-friendly activity are “Dog in the Garden” days at Naples Botanical Garden. Sundays and Tuesdays from 8-11 AM the garden allows families to bring their pups for a stroll through the gardens. If you’re a member admission is free, if not it’s regular admission plus $15 for the dog.

SHOPS

Island Paws located on Sanibel Island is a specialty pet store in which you can get  “all natural foods, shop for delicious treats, or experience the newest and most unique toys.” Bring Fido in for a treat- he deserves it!

Tucked away on the edge of downtown Fort Myers, you can find a quirky boutique called Remedies Parlor. This curated shop offers antiques as well as small brand soaps, fragrances, chocolates, jewelry… the list goes on! They even sell plants! Their backyard which hosts musical guests and a variety of events is also open during shop hours is pet-friendly! Stop by browse shop and sip on wine or beer in the yard with your best 4-legged friend!
