Don’t Let the Rain Stop the Fun!

June 6, 2017 Activities

Is your weekend beach barbeque cancelled because of a little rain or a pop up thunderstorm? Think again!

Southwest Florida has a lot more to offer for your family fun days than just sun and sand. Get your jump on at the indoor Sky Zone Trampoline Park! Enjoy freestyle aerial aerobics with a huge trampoline platform as far as the eye can see. If you’re feeling competitive, dabble in some ultimate dodge ball or team up to play an energetic game of Skyslam, basketball with a trampoline twist. Who says you can’t have fun and get a work out as well? Sky Zone is a great place to for you and the kids to get active together and share some laughs along the way!

Let’s not forget the Imaginarium Science Center, a hands-on learning experience that includes a range of activities for the whole family! This staple in the Fort Myers community combines educational values with different rooms filled with fun games. Dig up ancient bones in the Dinosaur Discovery Exhibit or take the little ones to pet the starfish in the Sea-to-See touch tanks. Take some time to solve some brain strengthening puzzles in the Mind Magic room! With so many wonderful discoveries to be made, the kids will be begging to come back for more!

Feeling like you need to get back to nature? The Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium takes you on a guide to discover all of Florida’s native critters and plant life. Not only do they have multiple trails and boardwalks through the Cypress Swamps, but also an amazing Live Animal Presentation. Meet the turtles, snakes, lizards, and other creepy crawlies that make Southwest Florida’s wildlife unique! Celebrate Get Outdoors Day this Saturday with a watermelon eating contest, water wars, and trail walks every 45 minutes. Also, don’t miss the new family-friendly presentation of Phantom of the Universe and laser show in the Planetarium Dome. Travel through the cosmos and explore the stars like you’ve never seen them before!

So stay dry this weekend, and go explore the hidden gems of Southwest Florida!
