Please join Rookery Bay for the second in a series of five lectures – Small But Mighty: Urban Mangroves Provide Important Functions to South Florida. Bella Reyes, Ph.D. Candidate at the Tropical Research and Education Center at the University of Floridawill present in Rookery Bay’s comfortable auditorium. A hot lunch buffet is included and provided by Carrabbas Italian Grille.
The 2023-24 lecture series, “Mangroves, Mud and Management: Stories of Resilience and Restoration in South Florida,” focuses on the importance of mangroves habitats along the coastline and key conservation projects occurring within Rookery Bay’s 110,000 acres of land and water. Rookery Bay scientists and biologists will present their current findings and ongoing research to protect the wildlife, plants, water and communities of Southwest Florida.
