Join environmental specialists at Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve for an up-close and personal experience with the waters and wildlife of Estero Bay during a wading trip. Participants will wade into the shallows to see the many plants and animals that call this estuary home and discover why estuaries like Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve are known as “cradles of the ocean.”

Visitors will be provided dip nets to collect organisms such as fish, shrimp, crabs and snails. Preserve specialists will explain the roles each creature plays in the ecosystem and why the estuary is important in their life cycle.

Participants are required to wear closed-toe shoes that can get wet, and a swimsuit or shorts.
