“Art in the Gardens” Exhibit
The childrens’ outdoor sculpture “Art in the Gardens” exhibit opens March 19 and runs through April 23 at Edison & Ford Winter Estates. Students from 20 area schools created bird-themed sculptures using recycled materials for the 9th annual event. Sculptures will be on display in the Heritage Gardens near the museum.
An opening reception for children, parents and teachers will be held on March 19 from 2-4 p.m.
Students, teachers and Edison Ford staff develop a theme for the sculpture exhibit each year. “Birds” is a fitting theme, as both the Edisons and Fords were avid bird watchers and advocates. The event is free to the public (does not include tours, museum or lab).
